Alight now offering health care planning appointments to all OP&F retirees

Alight Retiree Health Solutions, OP&F’s health care partner, is now offering a new service to retirees. Alight now can schedule a personalized meeting to review health care plan options for all those who are eligible for the stipend through OP&F, regardless of if they are Medicare eligible or not. Previously, Alight only offered the counseling services to Medicare-eligible retirees.

The counseling services are free and optional. Alight will discuss the plan options and costs available to retirees and explain which plans are available to remain eligible for the stipend provided by OP&F.

If you are currently enrolled and would like to speak to an Alight advisor, please contact Alight to schedule an appointment. For those who are planning to retire after October 1, 2024, Alight will send you enrollment information including a preset appointment to speak with an advisor. Please contact Alight at 1-844-290-3674 with any stipend or reimbursement-related questions.

Alight to sponsor health care webinars in September

OP&F’s health care partner, Alight Retiree Health Solutions, will host webinars in September to explain health care options for eligible OP&F members. Dates and times are listed below. Members are asked to choose the date and time most convenient, then register and get instructions online or call Alight at 1-844-290-3674.

Once you register for a webinar, you will be emailed a link, phone number and access code to attend. To better explain the options available to retirees, separate meetings are scheduled for Medicare-eligible retirees and pre-Medicare retirees. Alight and OP&F personnel will be available to answer questions. When registering, please be aware of the specific meeting topic.

DISABILITY: The Committee conducted its scheduled reviews and hearings.

INVESTMENT: In addition to a review of the portfolio value and year-to-date performance, Wilshire Associates provided the Investment Performance Report for periods ended June 30, 2024, and the Private Equity and Private Credit Program Analysis for periods ended March 31, 2024.

HEALTH CARE: OP&F’s retiree health care partner, Alight, presented the pre-65 enrollment process and changes and the 2025 Enrollment Period Planning Overview.

Motions:

At its August 2024 meeting, the OP&F Board of Trustees approved the following motions:

• Approved recommendations for 28 Initial Determinations of Disability and one Reconsideration.
• Approved the recommendations for seven Appeal Hearings.
• Approved recommendations for five Death Benefit Fund cases.
• Approved the Disability Reporting Waivers list.
